Make more of your Existing space

With the economy finally take a turn for the better and business owners at last beginning to feel more confident about the future (some even preparing to expand and grow) Century Office are finding that more and more customers now need to take on new staff, but do not have the space within their existing premises. Or at least, that’s what they think.

Don't move - improve

In speaking with existing customers over recent months, Director Steve Bays noticed many companies were considering a move because they felt that they had little or no space available for the additional staff they required. “It was during one such conversation that I commented to the customer that, if he were to think about re-organising his existing furniture, it would quite likely give sufficient space to house at least an additional four staff,” says Steve, “so he asked me to look at preparing some alternative layout drawings to demonstrate.”

Steve’s drawings did indeed show that, by changing the desking configurations so that less walkways were required, additional staff were feasible within the existing space. Steve went on, “The customer was understandably delighted — it meant that the company need not relocate for some time to come, saving a considerable amount of expense and upheaval.”

It may not always be as simple as changing the desking layout and using the existing furniture in its entirety; sometimes it may be necessary to make some purchases, perhaps smaller desks, or alternative storage options, but still if it can alleviate the need to relocate, and the costs and time that go with such a project, the savings can be substantial.
